According to a communique signed by the National Communications Director, Helena Amoah, the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ needed to bring peace, strength, freedom and togetherness to the country, thus, our brothers, sisters and parents who are constant users of the road are entreated to be mindful of this year’s celebration.
The Liberal Democratic Party urged drivers and riders of motorcycles and tricycles to be cautious on the road during this year’s Easter festive session, with much regards to pedestrians, handicaps, school children and even animals who recklessly stroll into the middle of the road.
“This year’s celebration should bring something good to ourselves. Yes, it should be celebrated with freedom, progress and safety. In order not to bring deaths and carnages on our roads”, the communique read.
In continuance, the party acknowledged that Jesus’s death and resurrection had brought freedom and progress to individuals. So, our nation should experience the same freedom and progress it ushered.
The LDP further urged Ghanaians to be mindful of the COVID-19 variant and adhere to the restrictions despite the easing of restrictions by the ruling government.
“People will go out and celebrate but the COVID-19 is still with us, so let’s try and protect ourselves since we are masters of our own lives”.
Party National Chairman, Isaac Akpah cautioned.
The Liberal Democratic Party still remains resolute and seeks the opportunity of the Ghanaian electorates to move our nation forward.
