The Liberal Road Map: LDP outdoors 2022 Manifesto

The Liberal Democratic Party has officially launched 6 sector transformational manifesto ahead of the 2022 general elections themed, FREEDOM, EQUITY AND PROGRESS.
The much anticipated people’s party 2022 manifesto was officially out doored to the general public at the Seminar Room of the North Dzorwulu campus of the Ghana Institute of Journalism on Friday, May 6, 2022.
In the opening address, the party’s National chairman, Mr. Isaac Akpah in his introductory remarks spoke about the yet to be launched manifesto and the impact it was going to have on the Ghanaian electorates and ailing economy.
"We are here today not for any other purpose, not for any unwanted purpose, but the launch of what we call the Liberal Road Map that will lead to the economic transformation of our dear country. Be rest assured that the yet to be launched manifesto considers each and every electorate and provides room for their survival in the country".
Mr. Akpah stated the purpose of the gathering, which was to present a documented policy to the general public with the aim of implementing when voted into power.
He also commended the prowess of the manifesto team on their acumen and mode of engaging Ghanaians and salient stakeholders on the need for unity in bringing an array of hope to the country.
In addition, Mr. Akpah highlighted some key policies in the manifesto that cuts across sectors in the country thusly; Economic transformation, Good governance, Health, Agriculture, Employment, Roads and Transportations, Tourism, Sports, Housing and Development which he referred as, “Social Contract”.
In his speech, he said;
“We began this journey some weeks ago with a quest to engage, listen, acquaint and find well-tailored solutions to the plight of Ghanaians.”
In as much as the problems of the citizens of Ghana are defied by numerous challenges, he promised that the LDP will rebuild the status of the country to its glory.
Central amongst other points in the manifesto was for LDP to prioritize the completion of all economically viable government-initiated abandoned projects by successive governments under a cross-sectoral "SANKOFA PROJECT”, an accelerated infrastructural plan to catapult jobs and transform the economy.
Mr. Isaac Akpah in line with the reading of the manifesto, emphasized on the party’s goals to consummate projects initiated by the previous administration using taxpayers capital within the first four years in office.
For good measure, he added that provision of incentives through the expansion of economic freedom and opportunities in the agricultural sector will be channeled to feed factories that would be built under the cross-sectoral “SANKOFA PROJECT” initiatives.
Mr. Akpah plunged in a boast of how this initiative intends to expand the ICT infrastructure in order to remain a competitive threat in the global stage. He again reminded Ghanaians of the party’s ultimate goal, which is to deliver freedom, equity and progress.
“To achieve this, the LDP volitions to concentrate on mobilizing resources through responsible and appropriate taxation, sealing loopholes that make room for the breed of corruption”.
He explained.
Furthermore, the party delineated to create an enabling environment for private businesses, also, to reintroduce the use of Tollbooths and to review the Electronic Transaction Levy to suit the demands of Ghanaians.
In conclusion, the party seeks the vote of citizens on the assurance of implementing upright policies for a better Ghana.
